Matthew MacFayden is now a first-time Emmy winner!
The 47-year-old actor took home the role for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in HBO’s Succession at the 2022 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 12) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
“I’m deeply flattered and thrilled to bits,” Matthew said in his acceptance speech. “Its a pleasure and a privilege to play this bonkers gift of a role.”
Matthew then went on to give a special shout-out to the team behind Succession, calling them the “most supremely talented crew and cast I can imagine.”
Also in attendance was Matthew‘s Succession co-stars Nicholas Braun and J. Smith-Cameron, who attended with husband Kenneth Lonergan.
