Strictly Come Dancing's Matt Goss has revealed he's set to be reunited with his beloved dog, Reggie, after he was forced to leave the pet pooch in the US to appear on the UK-based series. The Bros star, 53, is just one of the celebrities making up this year's star-studded 2022 line-up and he's hoping that Reggie, who is "really his family", can be a "mascot" for the show.
Speaking to press including OK! recently about joining the show, Matt revealed that he is set to be reunited with his dog in days and he's treating him to a "mani and pedi". The singer said: "I just got news today that I think he's flying in on the 12th.
So he's flying into Frankfurt, he's going to get a mani-pedi, then he's getting driven to me, full body rub, then we're reunited." To which Fleur East, who is also appearing on Strictly and did a joint interview with Matt, joked: "I've seen all the pictures of Reggie, Matt loves Reggie! I think there was about half an hour of you showing me pictures!" With Matt adding: "I'm hoping he'll become the Strictly mascot, he is really my family. So to leave him, I felt like such a bad dog dad", adding that they had to wait for the right weather conditions otherwise Reggie wasn't allowed to fly.
It comes after the singer told The Sun that he may have to wait months to be reunited with Reggie, he said: "Leaving Reggie in America has been tough. I know having him here will put a swing in my step on the Strictly stage.
