Jayde Adams was left speechless after she received a standing ovation for her first ever dance on Strictly Come Dancing. The comedian and actress put her all into her debut dance, a samba to Christina Aguilera's Dirrty, and received a big response from the audience because of it - with the crowd taking to their feet and cheering loudly. Jayde, 37, appeared visibly stunned by the crowd's reaction, before making her way over to the judges' table and presenter Tess Daly.Tess said: "Oh my goodness. Okay Jayde, you just danced on Strictly and got a standing ovation. The judges are about to comment, do I need to pinch you?" Jayde, still panting from the dance, said: "Thank you, Tess." Tess then pinched her arm and said: "It's real, it's real! Well done darling, it was amazing!" The judges were convinced too, giving her an overall score of 23 - a more than decent score for her first ever dance.
It wasn't just the crowd in the ballroom that were excited either, with viewers at home also sharing their love for Jayde and her partner, Karen Hauer. Posting to Twitter, one viewer said: "I was proper applauding Jayde. Looked stunning, confidence oozing, and put everything into that #Strictly".
Another wrote: "#Jayde sold the heck out of that dance. Y’know what? My money’s on her to go far." Viewers all picked up on her enjoying dancing on the show, which made her dance stand out and give her extra energy. One person said: "LOVED Jayde's attitude and energy.
She may not have got all of the steps right but she nailed the performance part. Plus you can see she was enjoying herself." Another bluntly wrote: "If Jayde and Karen don't win #Strictly, I will riot". Jayde has been very vocal about how much she has been looking forward to her time
