Tim Allen returns as Scott Calvin a.k.a. Santa Clause in the first trailer for “The Santa Clauses”, Disney+’s upcoming Christmas comedy miniseries based on “The Santa Clause” film series.

Elizabeth Mitchell also returns for the new series, alongside Kal Penn, Austin Kane as Allen’s son, Matilda Lawler as Santa’s chief-of-staff, Laura San Giacomo as Befana the Christmas Witch and David Krumholtz, who returns as Bernard, now described as Santa’s former right-hand elf.When “The Santa Clause” was originally produced, it was a racier comedy made for Disney’s Hollywood Pictures division, which specialized in more adult-leaning genre fare. When executives got a look at an early cut, they realized the potential for the movie as a family blockbuster.

Michaela Zee editor Disney+ has unveiled a teaser for “The Santa Clauses” original series, with Tim Allen once again donning Santa’s classic suit for the fourth installment of “The Santa Clause” franchise. The new teaser premiered during the D23 Expo. In the limited series, Scott Calvin (Allen) is ready to step down from his Santa duties and provide his family a new life south of the North Pole. With his 65th birthday on the horizon, Scott — whose Santa magic is beginning to fade — searches for a replacement Santa Claus suitable enough to manage the workshop and take care of the elves. After announcing his plans to retire in the teaser, Santa interviews NFL hall of fame quarterback Peyton Manning for the position.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Eiza González has joined Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal in the Hulu limited series “La Máquina.” The Spanish-language series was picked up at Hulu in July. Per the official logline, “‘La Máquina’ follows an aging boxer (García Bernal) whose crafty manager (Luna) secures him one last shot at a title. But to make it to fight night, they must navigate a mysterious underworld force.” González will star as Irasema. Reba McEntire has gone to the dark side.  The singer-actor plays a villain in ABC’s crime drama "Big Sky: Deadly Trails" Season 3.  McEntire acts alongside her boyfriend, Rex Linn, as the pair portray a mischievous, shady couple.  The trailer shows McEntire's character Sunny Barnes welcoming backpackers to Sunny Day Excursions, a "luxury backcountry experience" located in a Montana valley.  "Let's get out there and have some fun and be safe," Barnes encourages the guests.  Country icon Reba McEntire plays a villainous role in ABC's crime drama "Big Sky: Deadly Trails," alongside her boyfriend Rex Linn.
