The stepfather and killer of 15-year-old Sebastian Kalinowski has said he will "never forgive himself".
Andrezej Lawoszewski, 36, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the teenager, who has discovered with serious injuries at his home in Leeds Roads, Huddersfield, on August 13. Sebastian tragically died in hospital. His mother, Agnieszka Kalinowska, and her partner Latoszewski were arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, neglect and causing or allowing the death of a child.
Jurors at Leeds Crown Court heard how Sebastian was subjected to physical abuse and "tortured" at the hands of his mother and stepfather in the months leading to his death. CCTV footage captured the abuse and was presented to the court, reports Yorkshire Live.

On Thursday, Latoszewski entered the witness box to provide evidence. He told how he had been with Kalinowska for 11 years before the arrest and said he knew of her "by sight" before being formally introduced to her on a visit to Poland to see his own son.
He added that Kalinowska moved to the UK to live in a house in Wakefield with him and her partner at the time. After moving around to a variety of addresses, Latoszewski said the couple settled in Leeds Road where they were joined by Sebastian in October last year. They lived in the property for five years before his death.
Latoszewski said he will "never forgive" himself for killing Sebastian and admitted to being cruel and violent with the teenager, something he was "utterly embarrassed" about, he told the court. He told the jury that he never intended to cause Sebastian's death and said "it would never have crossed my mind"
