Star chefs confirmed for Bolton Food & Drink Festival

The Bolton Food & Drink Festival will be back for the August bank holiday weekend, with a raft of star chefs, food stalls, talks, demonstrations and live music taking over the town centre.
James Martin, chef and DJ Gok Wan, Michael Caines and Great British Menu judge Nisha Katona MBE are among those who will be heading to Bolton for the event, which takes place from August 25 to 28 and will be celebrating its 18th year.
Lympstone Manor’s Caines will be kicking this off by hosting a cooking demo on the Friday, with Gok Wan appearing in the celebrity chef cooking theatre in the Festival Hall on the Saturday and performing a DJ set in the evening.

On the Sunday, Nisha Katona, founder of the Mowgli street food chain, will be hosting a cooking demo, with James Martin taking to the stage on the Monday. Elsewhere, there will be a Fawlty Towers dining experience, bottomless brunch events, and a James Bond style ‘Live And Let Dine’ experience too.
These will sit alongside around 200 food stalls and market traders, arts and crafts, street entertainment and activities for kids. Entry is free, though some events are ticketed.
