Stacey Solomon is said to be battling anxiety as her wedding to Joe Swash looms closer. The couple are more loved-up that ever and are due to tie the knot in July, with Joe accidentally revealing the date on Loose Women. Stacey, 32, is now said to be getting anxious about the upcoming nuptials, making sure she has every last-minute preparation done. In the hopes of drawing attention away from her actual wedding dress, she reportedly made the bold decision to wear a wedding dress outfit to the BAFTAs so fans wouldn't speculate as much about her real gown.
Speaking to Closer magazine, a source said: “Stacey’s been so excited to tie the knot, but as the date draws closer and the last-minute prep piles up – as well as public interest gathering pace – it’s made her quite anxious. “She’s started to panic about everything, from her guest list to her dress and the fans’ reaction to it – which is what prompted her BAFTA bridal look.” When the couple headed to the BAFTAs, some fans speculated that the couple had actually already got married. Stacey's show Sort Your Life Out was nominated for an award and for the occasion, Joe had chosen to dress in a smart suit and bowtie while Stacey donned a white 1920s-inspired wedding style dress, decorated with pearls.
Sharing a snap with her 5.2 million Instagram followers, she captioned the image: "Here we go. "Off to the Baftas with my best mate. Couldn’t do any of it without you.
Never felt so nervous & proud.” The snap caused confusion among her followers, with comments flooding in. One fan penned: "WEDDING vibes", while another echoed the thoughts, adding: "Genuinely thought you’d got married!!! You look stunning. Have the best time."
