That’s where Titan comes in. Titan is a three-year-old St Bernard who is a gentle giant with a lap dog complex, and weighing approximately 60 to 80kg, you’ll probably want to brace yourself for the cuddles.
The gigantic, loveable dog loves nothing more than being shown affection from his favourite people, followed by a snooze on a good duvet. He’s a gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life, including hot dog sausages and cardboard toilet roll tubes.

A spokeswoman for Manchester Dogs Trust said: “He is a real character, and he has stolen the hearts of everyone at the Manchester centre. He may be large, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to sit on your lap.”
Titan isn't one for going on long hikes, but he does like to have a potter around, exploring new sights and smells. He’s said to walk beautifully on the lead and knows all of the basics when it comes to training, think ‘sit’, ‘paw’ and ‘drool’.
“Titan does have a sensitive side and can be wary of strangers and loud noises,” said the charity. “He is looking for a family that is happy to take things slowly with him and he would ideally like to be walked in a quiet area, where he’s unlikely to bump into lots of people.”
That said, Titan is friendly with other dogs and could potentially live with another calm dog, and even a calm but confident cat - but generally enjoys doing his own thing, according to volunteers.
