You should know the gist of “Love, Death & Robots” an adult animated anthology horror streaming television series on Netflix. The story goes something like this: for years, David Fincher wanted to remake the adult animated anthology movie “Heavy Metal,” based on the adult-oriented sci-fi fantasy magazine, and he wanted Tim Miller, a VFX artist who went on to direct his own films like “Deadpool” and “Terminator: Dark Fate” to work on it (Miller and Fincher go way back and he designed the title sequences of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”).

The number of UK households that subscribe to at least one streaming service shrank in the first quarter of 2022, says research firm Kantar in a new study. A total 1.51 million subscriptions to SVOD services were cancelled in the period — up from 1.04 million in the previous quarter and from 1.2 million a year ago. The director has seemingly already made a deal with the streaming giant to return for a second season as CEO Ted Sandros indicated the series was moving forward during an earnings interview in January.

Ethan Coen, one half of the legendary directing duo the Coen Brothers, is going solo for his next feature film, an untitled project that he’s making with both Focus Features and Working Title, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. Ethan Coen’s solo film follows the peculiarity that his brother Joel Coen had directed A24 and Apple TV+’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth” on his own last year without Ethan sharing billing.
