Ryan Reynolds has teased a lot of “Deadpool” in the past, once suggesting that “Deadpool 3” in the 20th Century Fox era was going to be a road trip movie between Deadpool and Wolverine. Of course, that is happening now—at least a Deadpool and Wolverine movie in the new Marvel era, coming in 2024—but apparently, Reynolds had all kinds of ideas, including a Christmas movie.
Ryan Reynolds is talking about the Deadpool Christmas-themed movie he had in mind that was ultimately scrapped after the Disney and Fox merger.
They’re prepared to be big sisters! Ryan Reynolds said his and Blake Lively‘s three daughters are excited for baby No. 4.
Even though we were right in the heart of Beverly Hills for last night’s American Cinematheque Awards tribute to Ryan Reynolds, you would be forgiven if you thought somehow you had been transported from the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom and landed in Canada. Judging from these proceedings Reynolds just may be the hottest import ever to come across the border.
. But who knew they could also be heart-meltingly sincere? To honor her husband, who was receiving the 36th American Cinematheque Award, Lively delivered just absolutely the sweetest speech ever—with a few jokes at the end to keep things lighthearted.Lively, who is , tapped into peak Serena van der Woodsen era in a Grecian Ralph Lauren maxi dress, heavy bangles, and beachy hair, which coordinated nicely with Reynold's chocolate brown velvet suit. Taking to the stage, Lively opened her remarks with glowing praise for her husband's “heart, his philanthropy, his humor, his integrity, his unmatched work ethic, his self-deprecating levity, his hard-earned depths, and his grace.” Lively attributed some of these qualities to Reynold's home country of Canada, and reflected that his connection to home is what has made him who he is.This content can also be viewed on the site it from. Here's where the speech gets really tissue-worthy.
Their “home!” Blake Lively has a lengthy list of what she loves most about husband Ryan Reynolds — and she’s sharing it all.
Will Ferrell is a multi-talented entertainer who loves to sing but too rarely gets the expansive opportunity for it on-screen. (We’ve heard the show-stopping and sincere performance of “Time to Say Goodbye” in “Step Brothers” or the hammy songs in Netflix’s “Eurovision” movie.) Thankfully, we now have the giddy song and dance of Sean Anders’ Christmas musical “Spirited,” which gives Ferrell’s tender tenor plenty of heartfelt scenes that allow him to be cartoonish but also musically sentimental.

At this point it is almost impossible to count the number of remakes, ripoffs, variations, takeoffs and general thievery on the part of filmmakers riffing on Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol. The latest imitation, Spirited, isn’t even the only new version to debut this season; I can count at least two others still waiting for liftoff as the yuletide tidings continue in 2022. But this one has some real firepower in terms of who is involved with the Apple TV+ original film, chief among them stars Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, who deliver a take most closely aligned with Bill Murray’s modern 1988 Scrooged, a homage even noted in the rat-a-tat snarky script here by John Morris and Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home), the latter who also directed.
Taylor Swift is undeniably a superstar to the entire world — a household name you can’t help but see everywhere these days — but to Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively‘s children she’s just their silly Auntie Tay Tay!
Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Taylor Swift was not going to be part of Deadpool 3 but he was game for making it happen.
