Sophie Habboo and Jaimie Laing tied the knot for a second time on Saturday in a stunning ceremony in front of hundreds of guests, just a month on from their lower key courthouse wedding in April. While the Spanish celebrations seemingly went without a hitch, the loved up pair have revealed that this almost wasn't the case as thanks to predictions of poor weather, the couple's wedding planner suggested cancelling the celebration.
In a special episode of the duo's NearlyWeds podcast, the couple tell all on the final days leading up to their Marbella nuptials and their guests also chip in with extra tidbits of wedding gossip. In true dedication to couple's podcast, Jamie, 34, and 29 year old Sophie's guests recorded their parts on the big day itself and Made in Chelsea star Jamie's brother makes a surprising revelation.
Alexander Laing reveals Jamie was left reeling when his wedding planner suggested cancelling the big day if the weather was set to be less than idea. He explains: "Jamie rang the wedding planner and was like 'What are we going to do if it rains, like what's the plan B?' "And she like 'oh don't worry, don't worry, we'll just cancel'.
Jamie was like ‘oh no that doesn’t work for me... is there like a plan C maybe that you can think of?'" Thankfully, the sun was shining in Spain as the couple got hitched in front of a congregation including their families, friends and plenty of Made In Chelsea co-stars.
After missing his BFF's London big day, Spencer Matthews was present to watch Jamie become a married man, as was Sam Thompson and fellow MIC alumnus Oliver Proudlock. Spencer served as Jamie's 'Master of Ceremonies' after drama when he wasn't invited to, or even told about, the legal nuptials in London in April.
