Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn’s memoir was ‘painfully deluded’ and ‘borderline masochistic’ as her reputation hangs in the balance
Britney Spears alike, but the timing of its release has been pretty devastating for the actress’s brand.Britney, 40, hit out at Jamie Lynn, 30, after the latter did a series of interviews about her new memoir, which the singer had objected to from the moment it was announced. The timing of its release, just a couple of months after Britney was finally freed from the conservatorship she had been under for 13 years, meant the reception from the public was not what had been expected.Eric Schiffer, Chairman of the Los Angeles-based firm, Reputation Management Consultants, believes Jamie Lynn’s tactical timing has worked to her downfall. He explained to ‘Jamie Lynn, reputationally, made a serious mistake to enter the fray with a book at this time, post Britney’s freedom and to suggest that she didn’t time it accordingly would be one of the greatest cons of modern publishing.’Jamie Lynn had denied that the book was about Britney, emphasising that it was about her own experiences of growing up in the Spears family and things that had happened within her own life.Britney may have hit back at Jamie Lynn directly via social media, but Eric adds: ‘Britney is viewed today, because of her struggles with her family, in a far more compassionate way than ever before. ‘For her to vent is normal, authentic, raw and real. And that’s what her fans like.

Just teasing! Ariana DeBose, 30, poked fun at Bleachers leader Jack Antonoff enough to make him want to change the band's name in a Saturday Night Live promo featuring Bowen Yang that was released ThursdayIn the clip, Ariana put on a busty display in an off-the-shoulder dress decorated with colorful pastel stripes, while Jack affected a nerdy–cool look with a black leather jacket and thick black glasses. After she introduced herself and Jack's band Bleachers, cast member Bowen Yang — who sported newly dyed-blond hair — added, 'Such a fun name, Bleachers, like, "Hey, let's go make out under the bleachers."' But the musician seemed offended at the idea.'Nobody does that!' he interjected, while Ariana shot back, 'Yes, they do.'The thought of kissing under the bleachers seemed to have turned the musician off of his own band name.
