Sir Lenny Henry unveiled as Blob on The Masked Singer leaving judges shocked in double elimination

Aston Merrygold has been unveiled as the man behind the Robin costume on The Masked Singer.The star belted out the lyrics to Stevie Wonder's For Once In My Life in the last round of the popular ITV singing competition. The 33 year old singer took off his giant bird mask and turned around to see the shocked panel of judges, who were in awe of his incredible voice throughout the competition.

The Masked Singerunveiled two celebrity contestants on tonight’s episode (6 February).  The hit ITV series – a spinoff of the South Korean original – sees a roster of stars dress up in wacky costumes to conceal their identity and perform for a panel of judges who are tasked with guessing who it is behind the mask.

The Dragon, on hit ITV show The Masked Singer, has been revealed to be comedian Sue Perkins. Fans and judges were equally shocked when the former Great British Bake Off presenter removed her costume's head.The star then joked about how she had put on a fake New York accent to confuse viewers.

The Masked Singer’s casting team – they did a great job getting some serious star bookings for this year’s series. So far, we’ve already seen comedy legend Sir Lenny Henry and actual Spice Girl Mel B unmasked – not to mention the fact that a certain Grammy-winning American R&B singer is still in the competition, if rumours are to be believed.

The Masked Singer has got the whole nation guessing who is behind the masks this series. Viking and Blob were unmasked in the first ever double elimination during the epic series.

The Masked Singer UK, returned for another round of head-scratching musical covers tonight (January 30). Lit up by guest judge Alan Carr, this week's instalment featured a dramatic double elimination, meaning seven celebrity singers were whittled down to just five.

The Masked Singer has lost two of its celebrity contestants tonight in a double eviction - Viking and Blob were unmasked as Morten Harket and Lenny Henry. Blob and Viking’s identities didn’t come as much of a surprise to many of the show’s fans, who had insisted that they were definitely comedian Lenny Henry and singer Morten Harket since the beginning of the series.
