The music mogul, 62, smiled as the comedian, 50, wrapped his hand around his, while Amanda Holden, 50, gave him a sweet shoulder squeeze while posing for photos.
The pair are back for the 15th series after last year's show was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. David appeared amused as he held tightly onto Simon's hand as they joined fellow judges Amanda and Alesha Dixon for the photo opportunity.
The X Factor creator soon folded his arms after the cameras had taken the shot, with the Little Britain star looking amused. Simon was in his signature dark top and acid wash jeans, while David rocked a suit and partially undone shirt.
