Sigur Rós have announced a 20th anniversary reissue of their third studio album, ‘( )’.The new edition of the 2002 record was remastered by engineer Ted Jenson, and will contain B-sides and previously unreleased demos. It’s due to arrive on streaming platforms on October 28 ahead of a physical format release on November 25.To preview the forthcoming collection, Sigur Rós have shared a studio version of ‘Untitled #7’ (aka ‘Dauðalagið’ or ‘The Death Song’). Neil Young has announced the 50th anniversary reissue of his 1972 album ‘Harvest’.The veteran folk star will celebrate half a century of his seminal fourth album with a deluxe reissue that’s released on December 2 via Reprise (pre-order). Included in the reissue is a documentary called Harvest Time, from which Young has shared a previously unreleased live recording of him performing ‘Heart Of Gold’ for the BBC.Available on 3xLP or 3xCD, the box set will come with the following: the original album; three studio outtakes; the BBC solo set recorded on February 23, 1971; and Harvest Time. Also included is a hardbound photo book, posters, and liner notes by photographer Joel Bernstein.The outtakes included in the reissue are ‘Bad Fog Of Loneliness’, ‘Journey Through The Past’ and ‘Dance Dance Dance’.

Robbie Williams has announced a special 25th anniversary reissue of his 1997 debut album ‘Life Thru A Lens’.The singer originally released his first solo LP in September 1997, which featured such songs as ‘Angels’, ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘Old Before I Die’.Williams will now release a deluxe edition of ‘Life Thru A Lens’ via UMC/Island Records on December 2 to celebrate the record’s 25th anniversary.
Green Day have come good on their teaser from earlier this week, revealing an expansive deluxe edition of their fifth album, ‘Nimrod’ – dubbed ‘Nimrod XXV’ – alongside a previously unreleased demo from its recording sessions.The drop comes exactly 25 years since the band released ‘Nimrod’ – the follow-up to 1995’s ‘Insomniac’ (for which Green Day also released a quarter-centennial edition) first hit shelves on October 14, 1997. It spawned four singles: ‘Hitchin’ A Ride’, ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’, ‘Redundant’ and ‘Nice Guys Finished Last’.The original album sported 18 tracks (tying it with 2009’s ‘21st Century Breakdown’ as Green Day’s longest), but a Japanese edition featured a bonus song called ‘Desensitized’, while an Australian version also featured the demos ‘Suffocate’, ‘Do Da Da’ and ‘You Lied’.

Girls Aloud will release a special seven-inch single vinyl in honour of the late Sarah Harding.Due to be released on December 9, the seven-inch vinyl for ‘Sound of the Underground’ will be limited to 5,000 copies with 100 per cent of the profits going to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal – part of The Christie Charitable Fund – which was established following Harding’s passing at the age of 39 in September last year.The vinyl will also come complete with a never-before-released alternative vocal version of the song from the archives, as well as a sheet of ‘Buy Girls, Bye Boys’ stickers. Kendrick Lamar has announced a reissue of his acclaimed second album, ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City’, celebrating its 10th anniversary with new physical version featuring a minimalistic cover and unique colourways.Physical copies of the new edition will start shipping out on October 21, one day shy of the album’s initial release date in 2012. It’ll be available on CD, matte grey cassette and two-disc vinyl (in a translucent “black ice” pressing), with the lattermost option also available to buy with the original cover art.The new cover takes the image of the black van shown on the front of the album’s original deluxe edition (released alongside the standard album on October 22, 2012), isolates it, and places it against a darker black background.At the time of writing, the release doesn’t look to feature any bonus tracks or additional material.
The Flaming Lips will celebrate two decades since their 10th studio album ‘Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots’ with a deluxe reissue, as well as anniversary shows in London and Washington, DC.The band will release a six-CD box set edition on November 25, with a five-LP vinyl edition following on April 14 next year, both via Warner.
