It's official: Britney Spears' highly-anticipated comeback single "Hold Me Closer" has already reached the top spot on charts around the world, just hours after its release on Friday. The pop princess teamed up with music icon Elton John to remix his 1971 beloved song "Tiny Dancer." Shortly after its official release on midnight Friday, the tune shot up the iTunes charts in the United States, along with 34 other countries, including England.  "Hold Me Closer" combines elements of John's "Tiny Dancer" and "The One," featuring a dance beat that is accompanied by vocals from John and Spears.

Naman Ramachandran Indonesia’s Makbul Mubarak is making quite a splash with his debut feature “Autobiography,” which is world premiering at Venice’s Horizons strand and then playing at Toronto’s Contemporary World Cinema section. The film, which examines the effects of Indonesia’s military dictatorship on the country’s youth, follows a young man torn between loyalty and justice who confronts the truth of his father figure — a retired general — that may destroy them both. Legendary performer Elton John gave fans a preview of his new track with pop star Britney Spears on Tuesday. The song "Hold Me Closer" is a new rendition of John's classic 1971 tune "Tiny Dancer." It will be Spears’ first new release since her 2016 studio album "Glory." John gave French diners a taste of the single as he took to Instagram to share an intimate and brief performance at the La Guérite in Cannes.  In the video, the "Bennie and the Jets" singer is seen giving a handshake to the DJ at the restaurant and taking a seat to prepare for his performance, as he received hip surgery last year.

A French police chief has recalled the moment she found Princess Diana's peals at the crash site in Paris. Diana, Princess of Wales sustained fatal injuries when the car she was travelling in lost control in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in the French capital on August 31, 1997 and Brigade Criminelle chief Martine Monteil was among the first officials on the scene in the minutes after the accident. Speaking in new documentary 'Investigating Diana: Death in Paris ', Monteil explained how she found jewellery belonging to the royal at the site.

French police chief Martine Monteil has recalled the moment she discovered Princess Diana’s pearls in the wreckage of the 1997 car crash in Paris that killed the mum-of-two. Martine was the lead investigator on the case, and searched the crime scene for “little clues” in a bid to piece together what happened. She was the first to arrive on the scene and ended up becoming “obsessed” with finding even the smallest piece of evidence.

Hot Chip have opened up about the death of pioneering producer Philippe Zdar in a new interview.Speaking to NME, the band spoke about Zdar – one-half of French touch pioneers Cassius – after he fell to his death from a Parisian rooftop in 2019 in an accidental fall.Zdar worked with Hot Chip on large parts of their last record, ‘A Bath Full of Ecstasy’.
