EXCLUSIVE: Shout! Studios has secured all North American rights to Showdown at the Odessa — a new action-comedy toplined by Oscar nominee Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow) and Dolph Lundgren (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) — slating it for a strategic launch, beginning with major film festivals, in 2023. Written and directed by Orson Oblowitz (The Five Rules of Success), Showdown at the Odessa follows a proud movie theater owner who must defend his family business from corporate developers alongside a legendary action star as art imitates life in a showdown for the ages.
The production of Christian de Gallegos Films and Benaroya Pictures also stars John Savage (The Last Full Measure), Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist), Piper Curda (Legacies), Jon Sklaroff (Gifted) and Mike Ferguson (Amityville Uprising). Christian de Gallegos, Mira Howard and Michael Benaroya are producing, with Joseph Lanius, Luke Taylor, Matthew Helderman, Jordan Rudman, Hani Selim, Gregory McLachlan and Jim Holt serving as EPs.

Amazon Studios has made it official, confirming that it has secured global rights to the Warhammer 40,000 game from Games Workshop for Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) to star in and executive produce the Warhammer 40,000 franchise across all Amazon Studios productions.
