The government may be considering raising the legal smoking age in England from 18 to 21, and we want to know your opinion on the issue. According to a report from the Guardian, health secretary Sajid Javid is in favour of changes to the country's tobacco policy with plans to become smoke-free by 2030.
Mr Javid is also understood to be in favour rules tightening sales, having himself quit smoking after taking up the role of health secretary last year.
An independent review commissioned by Mr Javid, led by former chief executive of the children’s charity Barnardo’s Javed Kahn, is also expected to back new taxes on tobacco company profits, according to the Telegraph.

As well as looking at tightening sales and raising the minimum smoking age, it's also expected that the review will that the NHS increase its efforts to encourage smokers to switch to vaping and e-cigarettes.
The current minimum age of 18 for purchasing tobacco was raised from 16 in 2007, with smoking in enclosed public spaces being made illegal that same year.
With the minimum age now potentially up for review again, we want to know your thoughts. You can share them in our survey below, or via this link if it isn't showing.
