Criticism has been aimed at drivers for blocking cycle lanes in Manchester, with increasing complaints over vehicles blocking the designated spaces.
A cycle group has vented their frustrations at the 'epidemic' across the city, while police in Stretford have reported a rise in complaints over parked cars blocking cycle lanes.

At present, the council are unable to force the issue and restrict parking as there are no traffic regulation orders in place - an order that allows local authorities to enforce certain traffic regulations.
However, the Department of Transport did announce in June 2020 that local authorities in England will be able to use CCTV to fine drivers who park in mandatory cycle lanes.
Some readers have already shared their views, with one saying: "Parking restrictions should be enforced and cycle lanes kept free. If everyone who was able to do so used a bicycle or public transport there wouldn’t be any congestion.
"We should encourage all who can to cycle into the city and it should be safe - through use of proper cycling infrastructure."
