Sharon Osbourne was just 18 when she first met Ozzy. It was 51 years ago and she was then called Sharon Levy. Working as a receptionist for her famous dad Don Arden, a music executive who had recently signed Ozzy's band Black Sabbath, she said she was shocked when the heavy metal rocker first came into her father's office.
The couple are now celebrating 40 years of marriage but she has revealed that her first impression of the Prince of Darkness was one of terror as his opening gambit was certainly intimidating. "Ozzy walked into my father's office without shoes, with a water faucet dangling from his neck and sat on the floor," she told People back in 1989. "I was terrified.

Ozzy and Thelma got married shortly after, going on to have two children Jessica and Louis before the marriage ended in 1982. Sharon and Ozzy got together after her dad kicked him out of Black Sabbath, following reports of his increasingly erratic drink and drug fuelled behaviour.
She became Ozzy's manager and helped him build a successful solo career, leading to successful album release and world tours. "She was always a very classy woman, smart and outgoing," Ozzy previously told Peopl e. "I came from a totally different background, not as wealthy or educated, and I thought she was an impressive woman.
Then one thing led to another, and I fell in love with her. " The couple got married in Maui, Hawaii, in 1982. It was the start of a marriage that was to be full of ups and downs but that has lasted 40 years, with the couple renewing their vows in May 2017.
