Singer-songwriter Tom Walker made Scotland proud with his performance at the Pride of Britain Awards.
The 30-year-old, from North Lanarkshire, took to the stage to share 'The Best Is Yet to Come' for the first time on national TV. The single was released earlier this month following his previous viral hit 'Number 10', which powerfully reflected the nation's feelings towards the Partygate chaos in Downing Street.
The star wowed the famous crowd during his heartfelt set as he played live with just a piano. The event, which was held earlier this week but aired on ITV on Thursday, shines a light on the nation's unsung heroes who make a real difference to others.
Emotional moments from the evening saw Lewis Capaldi devote his performance of 'Forget Me' to a teenage r who saved the lives of a young boy and her father. There were 12 winners from the event, all nominated by tens of thousands of members from the general public.
They were whittled down to a shortlist from a judging panel, made up of celebrated figures in national life, who chose the final winners.
Following the event, Tom Walker posted on Instagram : "Truly a magical and inspiring evening. Couldn’t have thought of a better to stage for my first TV performance of The Best Is Yet To Come. Thank you @PrideOfBritain."
