A Scots mum has been left too scared to let her children play in the street after feral youths smashed motors and jumped on car windscreens in a terrorising rampage.
Police have launched a probe after eight vehicles were damaged by thugs outside of homes in New Elgin between Tuesday, January 3, and Sunday, January 8.
Shocking CCTV captured by a resident shows one youth jumping on top of a parked Toyota MR2 on Meadow Crescent, while others in the group filmed the incident on their phones, on Friday January 6. .
The thug can be seen kicking the windscreen of the vehicle before the gang flee from the scene.
Mum-of-three Michelle Campbell, who owns the car, says she no longer feels the area is safe for her family.
The 28-year-old said: "I'm scared for my children to go outside because of these gangs.
"The fear has caused me to feel like I don't have a safe place for my young children to grow up.
"I've lived here for 11 years and never seen anything like this. It's horrible.
"These youths are dangerous. The community is scared of these kids who seem to get away with frightening everyone. It doesn't feel safe at night time.
"I'm worried about how far these acts of vandalism will go. It's our car windows now, but will it be my house window next?
Michelle's neighbour caught the incident on CCTV before it transpired that more cars had been targeted in nearby streets.
Michelle continued: "I found out on social media that other residents' cars had been damaged.
"My vehicle is a classic 90s import car so the windscreen is not easy to find. We don't know how long it is going to be damaged."
