A dad has slammed a Glasgow hospital after his son was left beaten and bruised in a horrific attack by another patient.
Daniel Paton, 37, was battered with a pool cue in the Portree Ward at Stobhill Hospital in Glasgow in April.
He suffered a broken nose and two black eyes after the violent incident at the unit, where he is currently receiving psychiatric care. His dad, Daniel Galbraith, 55, has now hit out at the facility, claiming that only one member of staff was supervising the room when the attack took place and that it could have been prevented.

"I was shocked when I saw the state he was in. I've made so many complaints but I feel like I'm being ignored.
"They said they responded immediately, but Daniel sustained injuries. They have failed my son."Daniel was admitted to Stobhill in 2021 and has since been diagnosed with treatment-resistant Psychosis.Daniel Snr said his mental health is now worse than ever before and that he has been left "like a zombie" since the beating. He continued: "It's hard to say what the full impact of the attack has been on Daniel.
