The heartbroken daughter of a dad who has been missing overnight has issued a desperate appeal for him to come home.
Mark Simpson, 54, was reported missing from Oakbank Street in Airdrie on Monday, March 6. A colleague of the painter and decorator phoned his wife Caroline, 52, after he failed to show up for his lift to work.
Mark, who suffers from a heart condition, also left his medication behind.
His daughter Donna, 34, told the Record: "My mum got up and noticed his keys and phone were still in the house. She thought he must have forgotten to take them because he was in a rush for work.
"His work phoned and said he didn't come out of the house for his usual morning lift.
"My mum's in a blind panic. She thought she heard him getting ready for work in the bathroom on Monday morning but now we think that was my little sister Sophie.
"We don't have a clue what has happened. My dad is a family man, he doesn't do much outside of home."
She continued: "He had a heart attack when he was 29 and has a heart condition he needs medication for. He hasn't taken his medication with him.
"We all feel totally helpless and we are getting desperate."
Donna said her family are beside themselves with worry as time goes on.
She added: "Dad, if you are out there please just come home. We all love you and are worried sick.
"Even if you don't want to come home please let someone know you are safe."
