Heavy rain is expected to sweep across Scotland this bank holiday weekend, according to weather forecasters.
The BBC’s weather team is anticipating a band of showers to sweep across much of the country throughout much of Saturday.
Temperatures are also forecast to struggle at low double figures, with highs of 12C expected in southern and central parts of Scotland.
BBC’s Joy Dunlop explains: “A change is on its way with the arrival of a weather system.
“Any initial brightness in the east will be replaced by this rain, which will sweep across the country, really anywhere seeing rain at a time.
“It could be quite heavy, and with winds strengthening that will affect temperatures - highs of 11 or 12C at the very best forecast.”
The Met Office is expecting the temperatures to recover on Sunday, but the rain risk will remain in place for some.
These showers could also continue on bank holiday Monday in the far north of Scotland.
