Scarlett Moffatt has opened up on how much "happier" she feels being a size 18 after years of struggling with her body image and yo-yoing weight loss. The former Gogglebox star and TV presenter, who recently enjoyed a trip to Paris, went down to a size eight after appearing on the Channel 4 series, in a bid to regain control and positivity with her shape, but in the end she was still unhappy. Now, the 31 year old beauty has revealed she's finally content with her size, years after releasing a controversial fitness DVD that saw her shedding 3stone in 2016. Despite showing off her amazing results and appearing happier than ever, it later emerged that Scarlett had managed the feat by eating only 700 calories a day.
She also took part in an ultra-tough Swiss bootcamp that involved six hours of exercise a day. “The thing with being body positive and having body confidence is just celebrating everybody’s body,” the star told The Sun. “I think sometimes people have this misconception that it’s like ‘fatties unite’.
“Genuinely, no matter what you look like, just celebrate you. As long as you are healthy, being yourself and you’re being nice to people, you do you. "That’s the big thing that I want to get across.” Scarlett went on to urge people not to be so hard on themselves, and lamented all the years she "missed out" due to being self-conscious.
The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star also shared her tips of how to stop letting the bad thoughts control her. “There is a really good TikTok trend where you [share] a photo of your younger self and whenever I’m nasty to myself, I remember I’m talking to her," Scarlett explained.
