Baby on the way! Sarah Snook revealed she is pregnant when she stepped out at the Succession season 4 premiere on Monday, March 20.
“It’s exciting!” the Australia native, 35, told Entertainment Tonight at the New York City event. “I feel great.”
Snook, who plays Siobhan “Shiv” Roy on the HBO hit, said she was 32 weeks along. That means she didn’t have to worry about hiding a baby bump during the final season of Succession, which filmed last year.
“I mean, you couldn’t super tell,” Snook said with a laugh. “Because it’s not super big, at least at the moment.”
The actress married comedian Dave Lawson in 2021. The two had been friends for years before their relationship took a romantic turn amid Australia’s strict COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020. The pair married the following year in a backyard wedding at Snook’s home in Brooklyn.
“At the beginning of the pandemic last year, I got locked down in Melbourne with one of my best mates and we fell in love,” she told Vogue Australia in October 2021. “We’ve been friends since 2014, lived together, travelled together, always excited to see each other, but totally platonic. We’ve just never been single at the same time. I proposed and we got married in February in my backyard.”
She added, “It’s been a ride. There’s so much heartache and sadness in the world, but on a micro personal level, I’ve been very fortunate … There’s a really lovely grace in that without the pandemic, we might not have ended up together so quickly.”
As she gets ready to embark on a new chapter with Lawson and their little bundle of joy, Snook is saying goodbye to Succession. The fourth season will be the last for the Emmy-winning series, which shocked even the cast.
