Rylan Clark couldn't believe he was invited to join the stars in The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant this month, which brought the iconic moments from her reign to life. TV host Rylan, 33, was invited to go on the open-top bus parade, waving to fans and dancing along to the music. He was joined by the likes of Sir Cliff Richard, Naomi Campbell, Gary Lineker, Kate Moss, and Patsy Kensit.
But despite being initially shocked by the incredible offer to meet the royal family with the open-top bus ride, the presenter revealed he decided to have some drinks with his friends instead. "They said they were doing an open-top bus parade with national treasures and they’d love me to be one," Rylan recalled.
"I was shocked. We were supposed to go and meet them [the royal family] somewhere, but we ended up going for a drink instead." Rylan partied with Holly Willoughby and Nicole Scherzinger on the 2000s bus and showed off their dance moves while being driven around London. He continued: "I was with Holly Willoughby and Nicole Scherzinger and it was really nice to be with people who are actual mates.
Gok Wan was there, too. All we did was laugh. "None of us knew that the Queen was going to come out on the balcony.
It was an absolute moment. Not many countries do it how we do." Rylan was speaking as he returned to Celebrity Gogglebox with his beloved mum Linda after a tough year for mother and son.
