Rylan Clark tells BBC The One Show he got 'so ill' as he admits why he removed ex husband's texts from memoir

Rylan Clark appeared on BBC's The One show on Thursday night (September 29) where he opened up about his marriage breakdown. The TV personality, who found fame after appearing on The X Factor in 2012, spoke to Alex Jones and Roman Kemp about his 'awful' year.
The 33-year-old married his ex-husband Dan Neal in 2015 but they marriage broke down last year, which caused Rylan to suffer from depression. The Celebrity Big Brother winner admitted he got 'so ill' after his relationship crumbled and revealed how it was difficult to write about his break up in his upcoming memoir.
Rylan previously revealed that the ending of his marriage led him to try to end his life after telling his ex-husband, who he met on Big Brother's Bit on the Side whilst Rylan was hosting, that he had cheated on him.

The TV star has now released his new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, which looks back at the last 10 years from finding fame on The X Factor in 2012 up until now, where he details the reasons why his marriage ended for the first time.
During the latest The One Show, Rylan revealed why his memoir opened with his marriage split, reports The Mirror.
He said, gesturing to Alex: "Just to get it out of the way. Obviously last year was awful and we were speaking a lot and One Show actually, hosting, was one of the first thing that I properly got back into with you after I got quite ill last year."
The Strictly It Takes Two presenter also spoke about how difficult it was writing honestly about the dark time in his life.
He said: “It was harder writing about it than actually living in it which is quite strange.
