Rylan Clark has completely delighted Strictly Come Dancing viewers with his ‘perfect’ impersonation of Keira Knightly in Love Actually. Before Richie Anderson was eliminated after facing Fleur East in the dreaded dance off, the It Takes Two presenter appeared in a skit alongside his co-host Janette Manrara to promote the BBC Two spin-off show. The duo recreated the well-known cards on the doorstep scene from the 2003 Richard Curtis romcom, made famous by Keira’s Juliet and Andrew Lincoln’s Mark.
In the clip, Janette appeared on Rylan’s doorstep and began to hold up a series of messages written down on large sheets of paper. The first one read: ‘Hi Rylan! It’s me Janette – your co-host from It Takes Two. ’‘With any luck, by next year I’ll be presenting on BBC One with these two,’ the second said, with a photograph of hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman to follow.
‘But to me, you are the perfect partner, and my Latin hips will love you every week at 6. 30pm,’ Janette’s message concluded. Rylan then responded by poking fun at one of the famous Love Actually lines and said: ‘It Takes Two actually is all around.
’Before the scene closed, he also released his inner Keira, adding: ‘I look quite pretty!’Of course, Love Actually fans will remember how Keira’s Juliet makes the hilarious remark when she pops over to see Mark to finally watch the wedding video he had filmed of her marriage to Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Upon watching the footage back, Juliet quickly realises that she is the only one to appear in the entire recording and soon makes the iconic observation about herself. Strictly fans were living for Rylan’s impersonation and rushed to Twitter full of praise, with one writing: ‘OMG @Rylan’s Keira Knightley impression
