Rylan Clark has said his mum is doing "fine" after fans noticed she was using a drip during her latest appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox. The TV personality, 33, and his mum, Linda, have become a popular feature of the Channel 4 show, but eagled eyed viewers were able to spot a clear drip that was connected to the 69 year old's arm. After fans became aware of the drip they began tweeting Rylan for a health update on his mum. One fan tweeted: "@Rylan is Mum ok? Saw the drip on." The former Big Brother contestant was happy to respond, saying: "Had a lot of people ask, mum is fine, she has a tpn line for a feed… to do with her crohns .
V normal. Thanks for asking xx". The news comes after Rylan made the call to install cameras in his mum's house so he could keep an eye on her when he's not around. Linda has just 70cm of her bowel left, which is comparatively very little to the usual 2 metres.
She has also been fitted with a stoma bag following her latest major surgery to help with her Chrohn's disease - a lifelong condition where parts of the digestive system become inflamed. Speaking to the Mirror, Linda explained that while life is a lot more manageable for her, she is still "not well a lot of the time". She said: "I have nurses come round every morning and evening to give me a special feed.
I’ve had Crohn’s since I was 30 and used to be in so much pain I’d be crying all the time. "It was unbearable – I felt like I wanted to get a knife and punch my stomach open. “I’ve had three major bowel operations, and with the last one I got a stoma bag.
