Ryan Thomas and Tina O’Brien’s daughter Scarlett Thomas had landed an exciting, new role in Waterloo Road. Scarlett will play her uncle Adam Thomas’ daughter Izzy in the BBC One show, which was recently recommissioned for an 11th series.Taking to Instagram to announce the news, both Ryan and Tina shared posts to say how “proud” they were and how “special” the 13 year old’s new venture is.
Coronation Street star Tina, 38, shared a snap of Scarlett with some of the cast of the school drama and wrote: “Very excited to finally be able to announce that my gorgeous, lovely, talented Scarlett Thomas will be in the new series of @waterlooroad @bbciplayer #proudmum”. While former Corrie actor Ryan, 37, shared a photo of Scarlett hugging his brother Adam and wrote: “The secret is finally out!!! “As a father & big brother it doesn’t get much better in life to find out that my brother is going back to “Waterloo Road” where it all started for him in his career to then find out Scarlett is going to play his daughter in the show @adamthomas @scarlettjthomas26 #waterlooroad”. Ryan added a love heart and praying emoji to post, while his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh celebrated Scarlett's news by reposting Ryan's post to her Instagram Story.
Adam, who will reportedly play a teacher when he returns to the BBC drama, played Donte Charles in Waterloo Road for three years from 2006 to 2009. Scarlett will play his daughter Izzy Charles alongside Katie Griffths, who portrayed Donte's girlfriend Chlo Grainger.The popular show originally aired on BBC One from 2006 until 2014, before being recommissioned last year.
