Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien have been left beaming as their daughter made her acting debut on Waterloo Road. The two parents were 'super proud' to see their child following in their footsteps to pursue a career in acting, reports the Mirror.
The BBC show, which originally aired from 2006 to 2015, returned earlier this week after an eight year break. The show's revival saw returning characters and a host of new faces at the school.
Among the cast for the new series is Scarlett, who is the child of the former Coronation Street stars Tina, and Ryan. Alongside her stint on Corrie, Tina also had herself previously appeared in Waterloo Road.
However, now the mother has passed on her acting legacy to her 14-year-old daughter who plays Izzy Charles in the hit drama. The show is an all family affair as Scarlett's on-screen dad is played by her uncle Adam Thomas.
Meanwhile, the teen's on-screen brother, Tommy Charles, is played by Adam's son Teddy Thomas. In the run-up to the show airing on January 3, the family shared their pride over Scarlett, Adam and Teddy's involvement.
Tina reshared a post on social media by someone else. The user's post mentioned Scarlett and read: "We are watching and are super proud!"
Scarlett's dad, Ryan, also shared his pride on social media yesterday. Ahead of the episode he posted a video promoting the launch, teasing: "What a time to be alive.
"Tonight, BBC One, 8pm, Waterloo Road, my little brother Adam, my little nephew Teddy and eldest daughter Scarlett take over the TV screen together as a family. Talk about a proud moment for the Thomases!
"Wow. I cannot wait for you guys to see it.
