K-pop band Stray Kids to put pressure on the Vanarama National League to allow football clubs to stream live matches.The actor, who bought Wrexham AFC with It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney in 2021 and has since gone on to executive produce an FX docuseries about it with his co-owner that’s airing on Disney+, is hoping that Stray Kids’ fanbase can help.Reynolds has been lobbying the Vanarama National League aka the National League – an association football league that’s the highest semi-professional one in the English football league system – to permit both domestic and international livestreams of matches.He has argued that the move would being “revenue benefits” to the league and a chance to attract more fans to that sporting level.But, after his requests fell on deaf ears, K-pop fans could well come to the rescue.No, the overwhelming force of the @Stray_Kids would be too much… or would it?

Rob McElhenney will come to centre stage in the new Disney Plus documentary Welcome To Wrexham, which lands on Thursday, August 25. The American actor and producer, 45, bought a football club in 2021 with fellow actor and close friend Ryan Reynolds.  The new series will explore the incredible story of McElhenney and Reynold’s decision to buy Wrexham AFC, a fifth-tier team in the English Football League.
