Ruth Langsford shares sweet two-word message to husband Eamonn Holmes as he offers health update

Ruth Langsford has publically shown her support for her husband Eamonn Holmes as he offered a small update in his progress following surgery on his back. The former This Morning star underwent an operation in September last year after years of battling chronic pain as a result of slipped discs.
But shortly after the operation, he suffered a fall and the accident left him with a fractured shoulder and out of work for four months. Eamonn was then hit by further heartbreak when his beloved mum, Josie, died in November and he was unable to attend her funeral.
Speaking to Loose Women star Kaye Adams on her How To Be 60 podcast, Eamonn opened up about his health issues and shared the 'most awful thing' about his health woes. "You're inhibited playing with the dog, you're inhibited playing with your grandchild, you're inhibited just socialising," he said. But also, the most awful thing is just being dependent on other people and what that does to you."

The 63-year-old went on to say: "Being dependent on someone to get you a cup of tea, to get something from the fridge, to pass you the TV remote controls, to bring you to the bathroom sometimes…. There are so many things where it’s demoralising having to ask. And there’s only so many times you can say, ‘Karen, could you get me this’, ‘Kay you couldn’t hand me that could you?’ And you are dependent. And if Kay decides ‘I’m fed up of handing you things, get it yourself’ or whatever, it’s very humiliating."
