Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch's divorce has been finalised, the former couple's lawyers have announced. A joint statement shared with The Mirror from Robert S Cohen, lawyer for Mr Murdoch, and Judy Poller, lawyer for Ms Hall read: "Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch have finalised their divorce.
They remain good friends and wish each other the best for the future. "The media mogul, 91, and former supermodel, 66, married in March 2016 in London, and at the time Mr Murdoch referred to himself as “the luckiest and happiest man in the world".
The out-of-court settlement comes after Ms Hall had on Wednesday asked a Los Angeles judge to dismiss her divorce case against Mr Murdoch, weeks after requesting a disclosure of her estranged husband’s finances. She filed for divorce last month, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
According to court documents filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday and seen by The Telegraph, Ms Hall’s lawyer requested a dismissal without elaborating. In her penultimate filing, Ms Hall, who was seeking spousal support, claimed to be unaware of the full extent of her ex-husband's assets, with the documents stating that her divorce petition would be amended “when the information has been ascertained".
