Netflix faces a number of courtly challenges in the next couple of months, as it prepares to debut both the fifth season of The Crown, and a documentary starring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. 

Netflix’s "The Crown" has released new photos for season five of the hit series, which included a first look of the new cast.  The fifth season will star Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Dominic West as Prince Charles and Debicki as Princess Diana. Olivia Williams joins them as Camilla Parker Bowles, and Jonny Lee Miller will appear as Prime Minister John Major.

A month on from Her Majesty the Queen’s death, doting grandson Prince William reportedly travelled back to Scotland to visit Balmoral. During the trip, the father-of-three, 40, made a pilgrimage to Craigowan Lodge, which was lovingly known as the late Queen’s bolthole.The property on the family’s 50,000 acre estate is said to have been used for informal events over the years, and was a “favourite” of Queen Elizabeth’s.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be in conversation to try and edit their Netflix docuseries in order to delay its release. Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41 are filming a $100million series about their lives with Netflix and it was previously thought to be scheduled for a December release, following The Crown series five going live on November 9.

Palace sources recently told The Telegraph that the monarch saw "tremendous flickers of hope" in his recent interactions with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amid Queen Elizabeth’s death. "I don’t think anyone would deny that publicly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle behaved themselves during the loss of Queen Elizabeth II," Kinsey Schofield, royal expert and host of the "To Di For" podcast, told Fox News Digital.

Queen Elizabeth’s name has been inscribed on a black marble slab alongside those of her husband Prince Philip’s and her parents to mark the monarch’s final resting place. The first photograph of the simple memorial was passed to the Mail Online by a member of the public who took it inside the King George VI memorial chapel. A previous image of the black Belgian marble from 2002 only showed gold lettering for George VI and the Queen Mother along with the dates of their birth and deaths.
