The Queen’s passing on 8 September was a sombre moment not just for the country, but for the world. In the days that followed, her successor King Charles III took over the throne and as per tradition there have been many ceremonies taking place in Scotland, where she died, and these will continue in London when she arrives.
While there has been much happening to do with Her Majesty’s passing, its easy to forget that she was human and had a family too. Her family have been in the public eye in the last few days but also took the time to share their moving tributes as they mourn the loss of a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

However, following her death he took to Twitter to share a poignant message: “"The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.
"We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. "I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.” He ended by adding: “During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which The Queen was so widely held." In his first speech to the nation, the King added an emotional tribute to his mother, saying: "To my darling Mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you.
