It's no secret that the Royal Family follow strict rules and traditions at all times, including how to act, what to say, and how to dress. And the festive season is no different, with Royal Christmases having a precise set of traditional events and proceedings that are scheduled every year.

As boujie and glamorous as it must be to be a royal, with their back to back black tie events, endless pot of money and access to the most gorgeous and expensive clothes, but, there are some downsides to being in the spotlight and part of the Royal Family. As many people know, there are strict rules they must follow that The Queen has put in place, some are totally understandable and some, lets just say are a little dated but all Royal Family members must follow them.

Every family has their own traditions which take place all across the festive season, but we're fairly sure the British Royal Family's Christmas is slightly more extravagant than the average person's.

Her Majesty the Queen has spent an incredible 69 years on the throne - that’s more than any other British monarch in history! Elizabeth II was thrust into royal duties at the tender age of 27 and she’s dedicated her life to her country ever since. It’s been a tough year for the Queen, 95, who lost her husband Prince Philip in April and launched herself back into royal duties.

With Prince William channelling his inner Bond in his tuxedo and bow tie and Kate Middleton dazzling in a gorgeous gold gown at the No Time To Die premiere, it’s clear that 007 has the royal seal of approval.Their schedules are always packed with star-studded engagements - whether that’s attending the Lion King premiere or walking the red carpet at the BAFTAs - but the Cambridges always find time to sit back, relax and watch the latest box set or release.

Meghan Markle’s father has expressed concerns that his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, are going to grow up without knowing they have two families – and claimed he has been told to consider legal action against Meghan and Harry so he can see them. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t be attending Diana’s memorial party on Monday and the snub has done the royal rift no favours.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex declined the invite to join the star-studded celebration of the late Princess’ life with 100 guests including Elton John and Prince William. According to royal expert and author Penny Juror, the Sussexes are simply “not interested” in attempts to repair their relationship with the monarchy.
