Roy Keane brutally mocked the suggestion that Manchester United could sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, claiming he turned down a move to 'win some trophies.'

Captain Harry Maguire has come under fire for his performances at the heart of the United defence, with Keane a regular critic of the England international this season. Prior to Chelsea's draw at Old Trafford with United, Keane summarised the recent decline when discussing his former club's efforts to sign high-profile names. "I guess they probably did try to approach him," he said on Sky Sports after he was asked whether he'd like to see Rudiger with United.
"I think they have done but he’s thought, ‘no, I want to win some trophies,'" he added. La Liga champions-elect Real Madrid are reportedly in pole position to sign Rudiger with United expected to look elsewhere in the summer market.
