With all the Star Wars projects revealed a while ago the Ashoka Tano spinoff show is by far one of the most anticipated by the fans as Ashoka was introduced to us in the Clone Wars show and quickly became a fan favorite. Ashoka made her live-action debut in Star Wars: The Mandalorian and then again in The Book Of Boba Fett. Rosario Dawson was cast to play an older version of everyone’s favorite Togruta force user.
Dawson was the perfect choice to play an older and wiser Ashoka Tano who would be in her late 30s or early 40s. “Yes, we’re still filming it right now. We just have a couple of months left. It’s going great.
It’s really amazing learning martial arts in my 40s. [Laughs] It’s super amazing, and I don’t use that word very lightly. My grandmother used to say, ‘Amazing is two blue horses,’ if you ever said something was amazing.
Because it’d be like, ‘No, amazing is two blue horses. That pizza slice probably isn’t amazing.” said Dawson.“It’s so empowering, that the more I am learning, the stronger I feel connected to Ahsoka. I’ve done so much researching the show, but so much of her is her physicality and her capabilities, and it feels amazing that I am physically embodying this character in a real way.
