Riyad Mahrez has joked that he'll get a new phone after sharing an image of his damaged phone on social media whilst boarding the plane to Manchester City's pre-season tour. Mahrez has signed a new contract with City that will keep him at the club until 2025.
The 31-year-old winger is coming off the back of one of his best seasons in a City shirt and has been rewarded with a new contract. Mahrez scored 24 goals and registered nine assists in 47 games across all competitions last term.
The Algerian was City's top goalscorer in the 2021/22 season, with his strikes proving crucial in helping his side reach the Champions League semi-finals. The three-time Premier League winner had been facing an uncertain future at the Etihad as he entered the final year of his contract.

Mahrez was pictured boarding the plane as City set off for America for their pre-season tour on Saturday. He was carrying his iPhone in his hand and one fan asked why he hadn't replaced the damaged phone.
He replied by joking that he'd been waiting to sign a new deal before replacing his phone.
