Rebekah Vardy reportedly ignored her agent's concerns about her taking her defamation case against fellow WAG Coleen Rooney to court. The infamous Wagatha Christie trial started on Tuesday 9 May, and has revealed masses of information about the pair, including that Rebekah, 40, reportedly took photographs of the inside of late singer Sarah Harding’s bag. The case comes after Coleen, 36, accused Rekebah in 2019 of leaking information about her to the press, sparking the mum-of-five to sue England star Wayne’s wife for libel.
As the trial is set to resume tomorrow, Monday 16 May, it’s come to light that Rebekah was advised against taking the case to court by her former agent Caroline Watt. “Caroline saw this all running away in front of them and wanted it to stop,” a friend close to the PR agent told The Mail on Sunday. “She tried to stop Becky but she was just not having any of it. “She was determined that she was going to get her apology from Coleen at any cost, so she just kept going and going.
Becky was warned it was going to get expensive and there was a lot of damaging correspondence between Caroline and herself, but it was like Becky was on a runaway train and there was nothing Caroline could do about it.” They went on to say that it “all got out of control” and that Caroline hoped Rebekah would listen to her with the pair being friends for years. OK! have approached Rebekah’s reps for comment. The revelations come after Jamie Vardy’s wife of six years appeared to have admitted that Caroline may have been behind the leaks.
