Rebekah Vardy looked like she was having a whale of a time this weekend, as she watched her husband Jamie play football.The 40 year old, who has been married to Jamie since 2016, cheered on her man as he played the Premier League match against Brentford - clearly leaving her legal woes behind her for the day. She wore black sunglasses and a dark long bodycon dress as she clapped and cheered from the stand - appearing in great spirits.
Her smiling appearance comes just weeks after she lost her libel case against Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen Rooney. Rebekah attempted to sue Coleen for libel after she claimed that Rebekah's Instagram account had been leaking stories about her to the press.
After a seven-day trial, the judge concluded on July 29: "I have found that Ms Vardy was party to the disclosure to The Sun... Ms Vardy knew of and condoned this behaviour, actively engaging in it by directing Ms Watt to the private Instagram account, sending her screenshots of Ms Rooney's posts, drawing attention to items of potential interest to the press, and answering additional queries raised by the press via Ms Watt." In a statement after the verdict, Rebekah said: "As I explained in my evidence, I, my family and even my unborn baby were subjected to disgusting messages and vile abuse following Coleen’s post and these have continued even during the course of the trial.
“The case is over. I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the judge has reached.
It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding." She added: "The judge accepted that publication of Coleen’s post was not in the ‘public interest’ and she also
