Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has remained coy on the future of Manchester United loanee Amad, insisting he is unsure if he will return to the club next season.
Van Bronckhorst — who will lead his side against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final in Seville next week — made the admission after watching Amad score in Wednesday night's 4-1 win over Ross County. The winger stepped off the bench at half-time and scored in the last minute of the contest.
It marked his second goal in as many games, suggesting that his loan spell in Glasgow is threatening to spark into life just as it's due to end. Amad joined Rangers on loan in January in pursuit of regular first-team football but has been restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions.

But despite struggling to become a regular fixture in Van Bronckhorst's plans, Amad — who joined United from Atalanta in January last year — has featured in each of Rangers' past five league matches, albeit from the bench.
Having scored now scored in back-to-back appearances, speculation about Amad's future is beginning to mount. However, Van Bronckhorst has admitted he is unsure what next season will bring for the winger.
"I'm happy with his performance," said Van Bronckhorst, reflecting on Wednesday night's win over Ross County. "His loan is to the end of the season, then he goes back to Manchester.
"If he's here next season, I don't know."
