Raging Putin sacks top general after 16 days in job as Russian troops 'run away'

Vladimir Putin has reportedly sacked a new Lieutenant General just 16 days after appointing him as Russian troops suffered a humiliating defeat in Ukraine.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky launched his first major counter-offensive since the invasion began in February.Ukraine claims it has regained 3,000sqkm (1,158sqmi) of territory this month.
