Lil Tjay has released his first statement following a near fatal shooting earlier this year.On June 22, Tjay – real name Tione Jayden Merritt – was shot multiple times along with a friend, 22-year-old Antoine Boyd, at a local shopping plaza during an attempted armed robbery. Tjay underwent emergency surgery as a result of the incident.The rapper posted a video to his Instagram account earlier today (August 24), where he spoke for the first time about the incident.The rapper said he survived “seven shots” and went on to thank fans who supported him during his recovery.“I just want to say thanks for the love,” Tjay said in the clip.

Heat 2 fleshes out the events before and after Mann’s 1995 crime classic Heat, and lands atop the NYT list in its first week in publication. Mann wrote his novel debut with co-writer Meg Gardiner in a book published through Mann’s William Morrow imprint. Heat 2 is the first book in a three book multi-million dollar deal between Michael Mann books and the Harper Collins division, In a Deadline feature on the book last week, Mann said that he plans to lean into continuing the crime story, which in the present focuses on the criminal exploits of Chris Shiherlis, played by Val Kilmer in the original film, and Detective Vincent Hanna, played by Al Pacino in the film. The long-running lawsuit over whether or not three songs that appeared on a posthumous Michael Jackson album actually featured the vocals of an impersonator has been settled. It follows the recent removal of those songs from said album on the streaming services.Released in 2010, ‘Michael’ featured ten tracks that Jackson had started but not finished over his long career in music.

While on the original series, Mosley also directed and wrote an episode.
