The Queen had four children and eight grandchildren and of those grandchildren, her eldest is Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips. Peter, 44, and his sister Zara Tindall were born to the Princess Royal and her ex husband Mark Phillips although despite being so closely related to royalty, the pair have had somewhat normal lives. Princess Anne’s son is a keen sports lover and studied for a degree in sport science at the University of Exeter before he went on to pursue a career around his passion.
His first job was for Jaguar, where he worked as a corporate hospitality manager before he went on to be a sponsorships account manager with the Williams Racing Formula One team. In 2012 he took a role at SEL UK as the company’s managing director, though according to the business’ companies house page he resigned from his role in 2022.
Peter is also a proud dad and with ex-wife Autumn Kelly he shares two daughters: Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10. The pair, who were married for 12 years, announced their split in 2021 and earlier this year Peter confirmed his romance with Lindsay Wallace. Lindsay is believed to be the daughter of an oil tycoon and a long term friend of the royal family.
It is reported that Lindsay had met the Queen and was introduced as Peter's significant other at a shooting party in January this year. Speaking to the Sun, one said the "very warm meeting" had "clearly delighted" the Queen. Like Peter, the mother of two has also previously been married and is separated to be divorced.
