Queen Releases ‘Forgotten’ Track Featuring Freddie Mercury, ‘Face It Alone’

Fans of Megan Fox have begged her to stop getting work done on her face as they fear she is morphing into one of the Kardashians.

Queen have released "Face It Alone," a previously unheard song the English rock band recorded with Freddie Mercury in 1989. The song was one of 30 tracked for The Miracle, Queen's second-to-last album with Mercury before the singer died in 1991 of AIDS complications.

Camilla, Queen Consort was on hand for  QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse, where shued judged the Best Turned Out in the Parade Ring and presented the trophy to the winner of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

Queen released a new song featuring the band’s late, legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury, on Thursday. News about the single "Face It Alone" was confirmed this past summer, as Queen’s guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor made the announcement during an interview in June.  "Face It Alone" is a "little gem from Freddie," Taylor remarked.

“Face It Alone” — a lost track from the sessions for 1989’s “The Miracle” — has been unearthed 33 years later and was released Tuesday.The track finds the unmistakable Mercury — who died, at 45, from AIDS-related complications in 1991 — reflecting on his life in typically dramatic fashion.“Your life is your own/You’re in charge of yourself/Master of your home/In the end, in the end/You have to face it all alone,” he sings in the chorus amidst the eerie atmosphere.With its mournful piano set against a funereal drum beat, the somber mood can’t help but make you think that Mercury is facing his own death — and facing it alone.“When something so near and dear to life explodes inside/You feel your soul is set on fire,” Mercury sings at the beginning of the song, as if he himself is being burned alive.And the tune comes to a bleak ending with the singer repeating the line, “When the moon has lost its glow.” “We Will Rock You,” this is not.“We’d kind of forgotten about this track, but there it was, this little gem,” said Queen drummer Roger Taylor in a press release. “It’s wonderful, a real discovery.

News of the track started trickling out earlier this June when founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor announced its release in an interview following their performance at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee concert. “We did find a little gem from Freddie, that we’d kind of forgotten about and it was — It’s wonderful,” Taylor told BBC Radio 2. “It was kind of hiding in plain sight,” May added. “We looked at it many times and thought, oh no, we can’t really rescue that. But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, ‘OK, we can do this and this.’ It’s like kind of stitching bits together. But it’s beautiful, it’s touching.”

Queen have released a lost song featuring the late great Freddie Mercury, more than 30 years after it was first recorded. Former frontman Mercury, revered for his voice and stage presence, died from Aids-related complications in 1991 at the age of 45, and is still renowned still as one of the greatest vocalists of all time.
