The Queen's Jubilee Pageant as kicked off this afternoon, Sunday 5 June, as part of the 96 year old monarch's final Platinum Jubilee celebrations.The Pageant route starts from Whitehall, goes through Admiralty Arch, up The Mall to Buckingham Palace, around Queen Victoria Memorial and down Birdcage Walk, and will see a 6,000 strong performing cast from across the UK and Commonwealth, celebrating the Jubilee split into three acts. For the first act, the bells of Westminster Abbey peeled as they did on Coronation Day.The Gold State Coach, a poignant symbol of Coronation Day 70 years ago, was seen travelling through the streets of London for the first time in twenty years.

Reports say that thunderstorms could be expected on Sunday 5 June, with the potential of power cuts triggered by the weather.The showers will be sometimes heavy in the south and will spread north across England and Wales.There is the chance of a complete washout for Sunday's jubilee pageant, with a mix of light and heavy rain from 3am right through to 6pm.

As the Royal Family gathered on the balcony for Thursday's Trooping the Colour Platinum Jubilee celebrations, all eyes were on adorable Prince Louis.The cheeky youngster decided to put his hands over his ears as the fly by went over, much to the delighted of onlookers on The Mall.The four year old also made a series of facial expressions during Trooping the Colour as he stood alongside his parents, siblings and the Queen. It's possibly the most famous balcony in the world with royals having gathered on the balcony since 1851 to celebrate weddings, birthdays and to commemorate important wartime events. It was Queen Victoria who first started the tradition during the celebrations of the Great Exhibition over 170 years ago.
